      LA JASSO DE CALISSANNE

Historical property of 1,200 hectares in Provence, Château Calissanne combines nature, history, and expertise since Antiquity, with Gaulish, Roman, and Templar influences. Modernized since 2001 by the Kessler family, the estate continues to excel in the production of high-quality wines and olive oils under the leadership, since 2008, of Sophie Kessler-Matière. Located at the foot of majestic limestone cliffs, Château Calissanne benefits from a unique microclimate that blends aridity and humidity, ideal for its 25 vineyard plots. This exceptional terroir allows for a diversity of emblematic grape varieties, such as syrah, cabernet sauvignon, and grenache for reds and rosés, or rolle and sémillon for whites, offering wines with typical character. Committed to sustainable agriculture, the estate is certified "Haute Valeur Environnementale" (level 3.4), promoting agroecology.

      DOMAINE CLEF DE ST THOMAS

La Clef de Saint Thomas, the other family estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Bought in 2006 by Philippe Kessler, it is now his wife, Sophie Kessler-Matière who runs this 12-hectare estate, planted in several plots around the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Grenache, syrah and mourvèdre for red wines, clairette, roussanne, bourboulenc and grenache for white wines flourish on these plots, constituting a «patchwork» of terroirs:
      - to the south, the Serres rolled pebbles where old grenaches express themselves
      - to the north, Charbonnières on clay sands, where white grape varieties and syrah claim their fruitiness
      - to the west, on the terroirs of sandstone for a very «Châteauneuf» typicity
The grapes, harvested manually in mid-September, are vinified in the cellars located on the estate in the heart of the village.
