An adventure begun in 1941 by Gilbert Castan. For 3 generations, the Castan family has shared a passion for spirits and experience in distillation. The project to create a French whisky began around the family still in 2010. A new-generation distillery was built in 2007. As Occitanie’s leading whisky distillery, Castan is renowned for the quality of its spirits, tradition and the art of distillation. The distillery offers several expressions in its range, combining aromas and know-how in the Villeneuve-sur-Vère area, in the Tarn region of France.
