GDS France

The collective health action led by the Groupements de Défense Sanitaire (Livestock Health Defence Groups) and their National Federation, GDS France, for over 70 years is built on three pillars: Surveillance, Prevention, and Control. Their activities and expertise serve animals, livestock farmers, the livestock economy, and also contribute to ensuring food safety for the final consumer.

The GDS work daily with all structure involved in in animal health: livestock farmers, agricultural professional organisations, veterinarians, engineers, and research centres. Their scope of action covers multiple species: cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, poultry, bees, and fish. Through their missions, the GDS France team and its network share a common goal: ensuring the good health of French livestock.
