What will be the mascot breed of the 2025 Paris International Agricultural Show ?

Every year, the reveal of the 2025 Paris International Agricultural Show mascot cow is a highlight. Since 2012, a cow and its breeder have been selected to embody the image of the Show, symbolizing the work and commitment of French farmers to quality agriculture.

For the 2025 edition, the Paris International Agricultural Show has chosen an emblematic breed, part of France's agricultural heritage. “Present in Paris since the 1st General Agricultural Contest in 1870, I'm a large-format meat breed. Famous for my bright wheat coat, I come from a primarily grassland region. The first Label Rouge created for a beef breed, I can be found in every French department, including La Réunion. I am, I am... the Limousine breed!”

This breed is a true pillar of bovine breeding in France and around the world, with a presence in over 80 countries across 5 continents. It is renowned for the exceptional quality of its meat: fine, juicy and tasty. Originally from the Limousin region - now part of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region - this breed has adapted to the needs of breeders while maintaining its maternal qualities and strength.

Join us at the Paris International Agricultural Show 2025, from February 22 to March 2, to discover the muse of this 61st edition, which promises once again to highlight the excellence of French breeding.

The Limousin breed, in a few key figures:

  • 30,000 Limousin cattle farms in France
  • 1st Red Label created for a cattle breed
  • 2nd French beef breed with 1,100,000 mother cows
  • 2 out of 3 cows are Limousin in Nouvelle-Aquitaine
  • 1st beef breed to conduct research on genomic selection in France

Our code of good conduct, the SIA'ttitude, was a success on weekdays, demonstrating the participants' ability, including the exhibitors, to adapt. However, the weekend presented additional challenges, requiring special attention for future editions. The Show must remain a place of discovery and tasting. Festive alcohol YES, excessive alcohol, NO!

The celebration of the 60th edition was nevertheless a highlight: with festive moments - stilt walkers and dancers - coming to animate the aisles; with the active participation of exhibitors who were able to give an aesthetic and dynamic touch to their stands and animations.

A successful first milestone for our new event SIA'PRO: with nearly 30 brands present at this first meeting, 10 exhibitors to present solutions and equipment, 30 conferences, and practical workshops to exchange, share knowledge... TEDx, hackathon, the events were plentiful during the three days of SIA'PRO!
